NEW YORK CITY · GIG WORKER GAME

Make your next stop pay.

You make the work decisions. Route assist handles travel, signals and traffic. Start with one offer, finish the job, then use your receipts to decide what to take next.

  1. Choose your shift and transportation

Pick a starting area, then choose a 1-hour crunch or free play. Cars cost more to operate but can carry passengers with the TLC for-hire setup. Bikes, scooters and walking take delivery jobs. Walk + public transit includes buses and trains; Bike + public transit combines cycling with available rail and tram connections.

Select Go online when ready. At real time, 60 game minutes take an hour. At 4× they take about 15 real minutes; at 12×, about five. Deadlines, fares and waiting still use game time.

  2. Compare an offer before accepting

An offer is a job you can accept or decline. Check the pickup distance, estimated time, pay, destination and deadline. Open its pay details to see estimated costs and net earnings. Estimated tips can rise, fall or disappear after delivery.

Use Setup to choose the apps on your phones. App icons switch screens without taking other apps offline. Use an app’s online switch to stop new offers from that app.

  3. Choose your next stop

Accepting an offer adds a job. Travel begins automatically along the selected route. Use Route to change the next stop or review your plan. Major routes let compatible vehicles choose covered bridges, tunnels and highways.

Use Demand to choose a busier area when offers are scarce. Getting there takes time and may cost fuel or fares. New offers can arrive along the way. Traffic and pedestrian crossings can slow the trip.

  4. Park, enter and collect the right order

For a delivery pickup, choose where to leave your vehicle, then enter the business. Parking rules, paid time and lock choices matter. Illegal parking can lead to a ticket or tow; an unsecured bike can be stolen.

Match the customer’s name and order number, then check bags and drinks when prompted. Ask staff about missing items instead of opening sealed bags. Waiting inside still uses shift time.

  5. Follow the handoff instructions

At drop-off, read the entrance, floor and handoff notes. Some orders stay with a doorman; others need stairs, an elevator or a trip to the customer’s door. If you take a wrong turn, retrace your steps or use the available help.

Some jobs require a PIN or a delivery photo. Follow the app prompts to complete the handoff. Photo tasks capture the game scene, not your device camera. Passenger jobs use curbside pickup and drop-off.

  6. Watch deadlines, energy and costs

You can accept up to four jobs across apps, with no more than two from one app. Only one passenger party can ride at a time. Conflicting jobs can cause delays and hurt your standing, so compare the route warning before stacking another offer.

For a vehicle that uses fuel or charge, open Refuel or Recharge before it runs out. Reach a compatible mapped stop, pay, and wait for service. Not every vehicle has a compatible public charging stop. Running out ends the shift.

Unexpected incidents present choices. Read their costs and consequences. A collision ends the shift. Declining an offer or reporting a safety issue does not count as poor service.

  7. Pause, finish and review

Use Pause or Escape to stop the shift clock. Your save stays in this browser. A crunch finishes after its game hour and any allowed overtime; in free play, use End shift when you want to stop.

Open trip receipts for final pay, tips, costs and customer feedback. Net per game hour includes all your time, including travel, waiting and overtime. The starting cash is spending money, not earnings.

Online scoring

Open the trophy menu for the leaderboard. Results sync automatically when connected. Rankings keep each player’s best qualifying shift for the selected filters, and equal scores share a rank.

  • Crunch: finish the full game hour with at least one completed job.
  • Free play: end after at least 15 game minutes with at least one completed job.
  • My shifts: includes other saved results, including early endings and resumed or offline starts.

Compare net earnings, net per game hour or completed jobs. Live scores can still change. These are community scores checked by the server, with gameplay reported by the browser.

Controls and accessibility

Use a mouse or touch to choose offers and actions. Keyboard users can Tab through controls and press Enter or Space to activate them. Interior choices support the shown number shortcuts. Escape pauses a running shift.

Sound is optional. Visual offers and badges remain available with audio off. Sound settings let you adjust app alerts, traffic, vehicles, footsteps and doors. The Help panel includes a Reduce decorative motion option.
